Past, Present and Future
“Owning and operating a business is a full-time job and either you love it, or need to get out!” I have heard this many times over the years since I started my event planning business, which you know as The Event Concierge, in 2006. As an owner, there are a lot of times where you do think about the past, present and future of the business.
How did I get to where I am now? Am I still as passionate about what I do as when I started? What keeps my company successful?!? Does the future look promising?
I remember many clients that helped build our success from the past and their events, and I think about how they have evolved, or even question why they stopped holding events? I also then consider the current or present clients I have, who are obviously the front runners since we are working with them daily or throughout the year until their event occurs. They are the ones that maintain our immediate daily focus and what keeps the drive of The Event Concierge going.
Building a reputation for success requires communicating and valuing clients!
Knowing that I must keep “knocking on doors of opportunities” for continued or new business, I always strive to build valuable and long term relationships with The Event Concierge clientele. Through these relationships, we earn the trust and commitment from past and present clients which often lead to future clients. In hindsight, knowing that I have maintained and continually gained clientele is a proud feeling as a business owner!
